Leatherback turtle released after two days of rehab

Mote Marine Laboratory's Sea Turtle Hospital treated one of its largest patients ever recently. Lizzy, a 787-pound leatherback sea turtle rescued from Lee County, came to Mote for rehabilitation after stranding Tuesday, Jan. 5. She was released more than 20 miles off the coast of St. Petersburg two days later.
