The Columbia University Alumni Club of Sarasota hosted its first group outing to Circus Sarasota Saturday, Feb. 20. Local alumni President Lee-En Chung (engineering ’88) and vice president Susan Goldstein (business ’86) joined 33 onlookers and sat in jaw-dropping awe during Nik Wallenda’s troupe’s high-wire acts.

Peter Manley (class of ’66 and former marketing guru) brought his wife, Dorie, while proud parents Diane and Adam Sulimirski — whose daughter, Maria, is a freshman at Columbia College — were mesmerized in the front row with their nieces and son. Plymouth Harbor residents Dr. James Griffith (class of ’48) and friend Bobi Sanderson, as well as The Meadows residents Carol and Carroll Buchanan (Teachers College ’62), attended as well.
