East County-based wildlife rehabilitator Justin Matthews received a call Sunday night from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, after Deputy April Allison found the young bobcat near the corner of State Road 70 and Lorraine Road. The Wildlife Center of Venice took the bobcat Tuesday for rehabilitation with three other cubs.

Police found the homeowner at the house, who was confused because he does not know anyone in the neighborhood and has not been in England. He lives in Tampa and comes to the home once a month.
