Obituary: Donna Rae Garner

Donna Rae Garner, 76, of Longboat Key, died June 28.

Born Sept. 4, 1937, in Clarion, Pa., Mrs. Garner graduated from nursing school at Temple University. Later, she received a bachelor’s degree from Ursuline College in Cleveland, as well as her master’s degree in speech pathology and audiology from Cleveland State University.

Mrs. Garner was an active member of her churches in Florida, Georgia and Arizona. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her family members, including her daughter, Linda Sue Steffee-Yenne, who preceded her in death July 21, 2012; and her late husband, E. Raymond Crim Jr.

Mrs. Garner is survived by her husband, William; daughters Amy Chaho and Laura Kozma; brother, H. William White II; five grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.
