Public Tennis Center team swinging big

The USTA 40 and over team will partake in sectionals

The Longboat Key Public Tennis Center hopes to cause a “racquet” this weekend in Orlando. The team's nine women compete at this weekend’s USTA 40 and over sectionals, the first appearance at the tournament for this roster, said team member Fanny Younger.

The team usually plays on clay, but will make the switch to hard courts for the competition. Nonetheless, the players going are excited to take on the challenge, said Younger. The tournament will take place Saturday-Monday.
