Breakfast and a bet on the future is coming next week at when the Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key will grant 12 students each a $2,500 scholarship.
The 7:30 a.m., Aug. 1 event will be held in the Longboat Key Club's Harbourside Ballroom.
“We try to make a significant difference,” said Kiwanis Club scholarship chair Susan Phillips. “All of them are just super bright.”
