TED Talk presenter Sir Ken Robinson was invited as the featured speaker for the Ringling College Library Association Town Hall Lecture Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Robinson is known for his TED Talk presentations reaching millions of viewers on topics like “Do schools kill creativity?” and “Bring on the learning revolution!” Robinson voiced his opinion against standardized testing as the the marker for success and learning.
“Education is the more formative experience outside of the household. There is a difference between learning and education,” Robinson said. “It’s to help them understand the world around them and to understand the world within them.”
