More than 50 boys, ranging in age from fifth through ninth grade, hit the court for Cardinal Mooney High's annual boys basketball camp June 18. The camp began June 17 and runs through June 20. Over the course of the four-day camp, participants learned the basic fundamentals that are essential to the game of basketball. Players focused on shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, concepts of teamwork and defense while improving their overall basketball IQ.

The Experimental Aviation Association taught children about aviation and took them for a flight Saturday, June 15 at Dolphin Aviation for the Young Eagles Program. Each third Saturday of the month the EAA Chapter 180 invites kids ages 7 to 18 to participate in Young Eagle Rally day. Pilots taught kids about aviation safety and how they communicate with towers for take off and landing. Kids had their photo's taken and were given a Young Eagles Certificate.
