St. Armands Residents Association celebrates Mardi Gras

There were no parade floats, marchers or bands, but that didn't stop the St. Armands Residents Association from celebrating Mardi Gras.

The group met for its monthly meeting on March 5 at Sarasota Yacht Club, which coincided with Mardi Gras. The agenda for the meeting included a briefing on what happened in St. Armands last year and what was coming in the year to come, including the recent change to paid parking in St. Armands Circle.

The group also officially elected officers and board members, including new secretary and treasurer Julia Bales and Chris Goglia, the new vice president.
