Three members of the Lakewood Ranch High girls weightlifting team finished in the top three at the District 8 State Qualifying Weightlifting Meet Jan. 25 at Port Charlotte High and will now advance to the state meet Feb. 11 at the Kissimmee Civic Center.
Hannah Asay finished first in the 139-pound weight class while Amanda Johnson (154) and Dana Hutchins (183) both finished third.
