The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

INLETS
Jan. 17
 12:01 a.m. 
— 4300 block of Second Avenue E. Information. The victim reported someone posted nude pictures of her on Facebook. The victim was told to contact Facebook and ask them to remove the pictures. The female suspect, whom the victim only knows as an acquaintance, posted the pictures. The responding deputy observed several printouts of a Facebook page but was unable to identify the victim as the female in the picture.

LAKEWOOD RANCH 
Jan. 18
 3 p.m.
— 5400 block of Lorraine Road. Found property. The complainant reported she found several items of paraphernalia used for smoking marijuana in the residence. She suspected the items belonged to her brother, so she looked through his wallet while he was sleeping and found some green substance that appeared to be one gram of marijuana. The substance wasn’t on the brother nor was he in possession of his wallet or the substance. The paraphernalia and suspected drug were taken to property and evidence to be destroyed.

Jan. 20
 9:30 a.m.
— 6200 block of Warbler Place. Burglary to a dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the unsecured residence through the front door. The person(s) then went into the master bedroom, located on the northeastern side of the residence, and stole multiple pieces of jewelry. The person(s) then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means. About $2,000 in jewelry was taken from the residence.

PALM-AIRE
Reported Jan. 18
 9:14 a.m.
— 7000 block of West Country Club Drive. Information. According to the suspect, she has power of attorney over the victim, who is living in a health care facility on Tuttle Avenue. The complainant, who is the victim’s former husband, stated the suspect took the jewelry in an attempt to commit theft. The victim stated the complainant is attempting to take advantage of her by obtaining her property, so she is safeguarding her jewelry. At this point, the incident appears to be a civil matter. The responding deputy was unable to obtain a relevant story from the victim because of her mental condition.

OTHER
Jan. 12
 5:30 a.m.
— 1200 block of 86th Court N.W. Information. The complainant reported unknown individual(s) spray-painted her vehicle.

Jan. 16
 3 p.m.
— 800 block of Kay Road. Lost property. The complainant reported he lost his Illinois driver’s license. He was issued a case number.

Jan. 17
 8 a.m. 
— 4800 block of Lena Road. Stolen and recovered vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was seen in a pond earlier in the day. Deputies were called to the scene, but could not retrieve the vehicle for positive identification. The owner responded to the scene and identified the vehicle as his. The vehicle was removed from the pond and towed.

Jan. 19
 5 p.m. 
— 300 block of 65th Street E. Information. An anonymous citizen called the sheriff’s office to report he had driven by what appeared to be a disturbance between a male and female. He did not see any violence but heard the female screaming and then saw a vehicle leave the area. He reported the approximate address of the incident, the main color and trim color of the house where the incident was taking place and the fact the house was surrounded by a white picket style fence. Upon arrival, the responding deputy found the front door partially open and what appeared to be damage from someone likely striking the outer screen with his foot. The deputy knocked on the door several times, rang the doorbell and announced the sheriff’s office was present. No response was received. The deputy waited for another unit to arrive before announcing his presence.
