Beau Ciel condominium sells for $1,525,000

A condominium in Beau Ciel tops all transactions in this week's real estate. Barbara Mei, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 601 condominium at 990 Blvd. of the Arts to Herta Cuneo, of Vernon Hills, Ill., for $1,525,000.

Venice Theatre's 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' opened Tuesday, Nov. 6. The show about a window washer named Finch (played by Jason Ellis) moving his way from the mailroom to his own executive office with his own 'sec-a-ra-tary.' All it takes it's a little kissing up to the the big guy, J.B. Biggley (played by Timothy J. Fitzgerald). The production was directed and choreographed by Brad Wages. Two members of the Observer Staff were in the production. Digital Fulfillment Specialist Danae DeShazer played a voluptuous Hedy LaRue. And Pelican Press News Editor Alex Mahadevan played a Businessman.

Sales recorded in the Sarasota County Clerk of Circuit reveal that Delray Beach-based Ocean Properties Ltd. purchased Oct. 31 the Longboat Key Club and Resort property through nine sales totaling $32 million.
