Mountainous mistake 2:20 p.m. - 1200 block of South Tamiami Trail. Shoplifting. A couple walked into a new-age shop. They purchased a few items, and, afterward, the wife decided to get a massage. While she was being kneaded, her husband sat down and picked up a magazine - "The Mountain Astrologer." After the massage, the couple walked toward the exit, and the security alarm sounded. The man had placed the magazine in his bag. He said it was a mistake, but he was arrested anyway.

Party problems. 4:34 p.m. -- 100 block of North Shore Road. Code Enforcement. A man reported that three men were on Beer Can Island "partying." Police found the underage suspects in a self-made lean-to with several empty beer cans nearby. The spring breakers were cooperative, and the remaining beer was emptied.

March 23 High school hooky 12:18 p.m. - 800 block of Orange Avenue. Suspicious Incident. A mother told police that her 17-year-old daughter left her high-school campus with an older teenage boy, who took her to Busch Gardens. Police were waiting for the two at school when they returned.

Homesick hound 5:35 p.m. - 700 block of Land's End Drive. Animal Found. A woman told police that she found her neighbor's dog roaming near Whitney Beach Plaza. The dog's owners appeared to be out of town and the neighbor agreed to take the dog until they returned. Later, it was discovered the homesick dog had run away from the sister of the dog's owner.

The victim stated she was in the process of leaving the store when the security devices in her new phones were activated by the store's security system. The incident caused the victim to briefly hold up the line, which apparently upset the suspect.

Low rider A utility worker called police to say that he was following an elderly driver, who had two flat tires on the driver's side of his car. The worker tried unsuccessfully to get the man to stop, so, instead, he put on his hazard lights and followed the man down the street. They were going 20 miles an hour down Tuttle Avenue.

False advertising 9:22 a.m. -- 4800 block of GMD. Soliciting. A man reported a woman trespassing at his condominium and placing fliers on car windows. Police called the number on the flyer, and the woman promised to leave the area.

Dispatch reportedly broadcast via radio a BOLO for a white Jeep Cherokee with several passengers in it. The occupants were smoking what appeared to be illegal drugs from a crushed can.

March 9 In shock 6:36 p.m. - 2900 block of Clark Road. Civil Disturbance. A woman called deputies because she was upset at how messy her tenant's room is and complained that her electric bill has skyrocketed since the tenant arrived. A deputy gave her information on how she can evict her tenant.

Traffic Violation. Police pulled over a woman for passing two cars in a right-turn-only lane. Another driver stopped and told police that he was glad she got caught, because she tailgated him and forced him into the emergency lane when she attempted to pass him on the right and come back onto the road. The driver, who received a ticket for reckless driving, told police she was late for an art show at Coquina Beach.

Logged down 7:10 p.m. - 3400 block of Clark Drive. Suspicious Incident. A caller reported that someone put several large logs in the middle of the road. It's believed the suspect did it to stop passing drivers to try to rob them.

Suspicious Circumstance. A woman called police to report that someone is entering her condominium and moving her personal belongings around while she's gone. She told police she thinks people are harassing her because she's wealthy and named an ex-girlfriend and a cousin who might be responsible.
