A woman called police, saying she found blood and a latex glove in a neighbor's trash can. When an officer closely inspected the garbage can, he discovered that the substance was not blood - it was red fruit punch or juice.

Dec. 15 Safe and secure 8:50 p.m. - 500 block of Kingfisher Lane. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman reported a suspicious pickup truck leaving the area. Police responded and could not find the truck but found an unlocked sliding-glass door at a nearby residence. Nothing was stolen and the house was secured.

The complainant reported the theft of his gargoyle statue. He doesn't know who took the statue. However, he stated there were young adults hiding and playing around in his yard and the neighbors' yards during the night.

Dec. 6 Construction question 3:26 p.m. -- 6400 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A Christ Church member reported to police that someone placed a sign on the church's construction site that read: 'WHY?' The church member told police members of the nearby homeowners association were disputing the church's construction.

Unknown person(s) entered the victim's vehicle through the unlocked passenger side door. Once inside, the person(s) took a TomTom GPS unit valued at $150. The person(s) then fled in an unknown direction.

Nov. 25 Gator grab 9:32 a.m. -- 400 block of GMD. Vehicle Larceny. A woman reported that someone stole her crocodile purse valued at $2,000 from the passenger seat of her unlocked car while she was inside a gas station paying for her gas. The purse contained a payroll check, her Social Security card, credit cards, a checkbook and $10 in cash.

Nov. 22 Case of mistaken identity 12 a.m. -- 600 block of Penfield Street. Suspicious Vehicle. Police received two calls about two drunken men in a small boat in the canal behind their docks. A boat with people was detained for questioning, but it was the wrong boat.

The complainant reported what sounded like a telephone scam to him. He was contacted by a possible male subject who said he was his son. The call was garbled. The complainant told the caller to fax information. He received three more calls and decided not to comply with the caller's request.

A man shopping at a department store took four designer shirts and began walking toward the exit. When a security guard tried to stop him, he ran out the door to a waiting car, and as he jumped inside, he yelled at the driver to, "Go, go, go."
