MILL CREEK Jan. 4 2:30 p.m. - 500 block of 135th Street E. Grand Theft. The victim reported a package was stolen from outside his residence. Per the victim, the package was delivered Dec. 4, to the residence by UPS, at which time the unknown person(s) signed for the package and fled.

Under Investigation -- Jan. 6 9:15 a.m. -- 700 block of Broadway. Security Check. A man told police that he heard voices coming from the house next door, which he thought was vacant. Police found the rear door of the home open and unsanitary living conditions inside. The home was littered with trash. The code enforcement department recently tagged the property.

Jan. 5 Triple dog dare 8:52 p.m. - 900 block of Siesta Drive. Animal Nuisance. A dog was seen running back and forth across the road, nearly causing several car accidents.

Jan. 1 Lord of the dance 12:20 a.m. -- 1600 block of GMD. Disturbance. Police responded to a report of a man refusing to leave a New Year's Eve party at a restaurant. Upon arrival, police calmed down a man and got him medical attention after he revealed he was punched by at least two men for dancing with someone's else's girlfriend at the party. Said the man: 'You know us Irishmen, when we like to dance, we're gonna dance, and if we want to fight, we're gonna fight.'

Reported Jan. 1 12:33 p.m. -- 3500 block of 65th Avenue Circle East. Petit Theft. The victim reported she placed three gift cards in the mailbox, so they could be sent to her parents in South Carolina. A week later, her family notified her that they hadn't received the gift cards.

A woman called police, saying she found blood and a latex glove in a neighbor's trash can. When an officer closely inspected the garbage can, he discovered that the substance was not blood - it was red fruit punch or juice.

Dec. 15 Safe and secure 8:50 p.m. - 500 block of Kingfisher Lane. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman reported a suspicious pickup truck leaving the area. Police responded and could not find the truck but found an unlocked sliding-glass door at a nearby residence. Nothing was stolen and the house was secured.

The complainant reported the theft of his gargoyle statue. He doesn't know who took the statue. However, he stated there were young adults hiding and playing around in his yard and the neighbors' yards during the night.

Dec. 6 Construction question 3:26 p.m. -- 6400 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A Christ Church member reported to police that someone placed a sign on the church's construction site that read: 'WHY?' The church member told police members of the nearby homeowners association were disputing the church's construction.

Unknown person(s) entered the victim's vehicle through the unlocked passenger side door. Once inside, the person(s) took a TomTom GPS unit valued at $150. The person(s) then fled in an unknown direction.

Nov. 25 Gator grab 9:32 a.m. -- 400 block of GMD. Vehicle Larceny. A woman reported that someone stole her crocodile purse valued at $2,000 from the passenger seat of her unlocked car while she was inside a gas station paying for her gas. The purse contained a payroll check, her Social Security card, credit cards, a checkbook and $10 in cash.
