Temple Emanu-el hosted an intergenerational family Shabbat celebration on March 6.
The Shabbat kicked off a weekend of events to celebrate Purim, a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman. Families enjoyed a reception that featured a craft station where children could make paper masks and crowns in accordance with the holiday. A dessert station with the traditional Purim dessert of hamantashen and an ice cream sundae bar was also available.
