Miami man charged with three felonies in Lido Beach fight, shooting

No injuries reported in 7 p.m. fight, police say.

A 27-year-old Miami man was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault in connection with a fight and shooting at Lido Beach on Sunday evening.

Ransiel F. Pages-Cajuso is being held on no bond at the Sarasota County Jail. A bond of $7,500 was set for an additional felony charge: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Around 7 p.m. Sunday, police responded to 400 Ben Franklin Drive on reports of a fight and shots fired. No gunshot wounds were reported, but injuries from the fight sent several people to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. 

Witnesses told police that during a fight that broke out near the beach, Pages-Cajuso produced a pistol and fired several times at two people. 

Pages-Cajuso's felony-conviction history extends to 2009 in Miami-Dade County.
