Pat Gussin books top award

Longboat Key resident and author Patricia Gussin won a Florida Book Award in the Popular Fiction category for her “After the Fall.” She received the Gold award, the highest honor.

The 10th annual competition awarded books published in 2015, and more than 200 publications were submitted in nine categories.

To win the award, authors must be full-time Florida residents.

Gussin will be honored at a banquet April 7, in Tallahassee. The public is invited to attend.
