Pirates remain unbeaten

The Braden River softball team posted its sixth shutout of the season March 8.

The Braden River softball team cruised to a 17-0 district victory versus Lennard March 8. 

Pitcher Ali Yawn allowed two hits while striking out five in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound. She also went 1-for-1 with two walks, a RBI and two runs scored. 

Bethaney Keen went 1-for-1 with a double, two walks, two RBI and three runs scored to lead the way for Braden River at the plate. Myah Moy went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, two RBI and three runs scored. Sarah Crawford drove in a run and scored a pair of runs. Linda Ross went 1-for-2 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Casey Farrow went 1-for-1 with a double and three RBI. 

The Pirates scored 17 runs on nine hits and 11 walks in a game that was shortened to three innings. 

With the win, Braden River improves to 11-0 overall and 7-0 in the district.
