Anonymous givers save the day

Michael Garey’s daughter Alex made a 16-page booklet for the Kiwanis Club Gourmet Lawn Party highlighting the 32 participating restaurants and explaining what the club does with the money raised.

On Dec. 2, Garey went to pick up the 800 booklets only to see the pages printed out of order. Garey reached out to an anonymous couple asking if they would help pay to have the booklets reprinted. They said yes, and the booklets made it to the lawn party on time.
