+ Gauls celebrate sweet 60
On Jan. 29, Jack and Joan Gaul will celebrate their 60th anniversary.
“I’m a lucky guy,” Jack Gaul said. “She’s a gem. She’s so kind and devoted to everybody. She’s just very unusual.”
The Gauls moved to Longboat Key 20 years ago and split their time between the island and Orland Park, Ill. Before buying a residence on the Key, Jack Gaul visited the area for one month every year since 1948.
