Amore by Andrea opens for lunch

Amore by Andrea is now open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

"It has been our intention to offer lunch since we opened the restaurant in November,” said proprietor W. Howard Rooks in a news release. "We never expected that we would be able to do it this soon, but the response of diners, especially those on Longboat Key has made it possible to put our lunch plans into action now.”

Rooks and executive chef Andrea Bozzolo opened the restaurant Nov. 13 in the building at 555 Bay Isles Parkway where the former Mattison’s Steakhouse at the Plaza was located until 2008. The restaurant features 260 indoor and outdoor seats.

Lunch prices range from $9 to $15. Dinner hours are 5 to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday. For information, call 383-1111 or visit amorerestaurantlbk.com.
