+ Euphemia Haye creates Haye Loft menu fit for a queen
Euphemia Haye, 5540 Gulf of Mexico Drive, launched a new limited-time “Queen’s Feast” menu in honor of Brianne Wilson, a three-year employee of the restaurant who was crowned queen of the DeSoto Heritage Festival in April.

The three-course dinner is available for $36 from 6 to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays through August in the upstairs Haye Loft. Wilson continues to work at the Haye Loft, where she rotates between roles as a hostess, server and cocktail waitress, as she carries out her new duties as ambassador of the DeSoto Historical Society and Manatee County.

+ Key Club Moorings receives Clean Marina designation
The Resort at Longboat Key Club announced that its marina, Longboat Key Club Moorings, was designated as a Florida Clean Marina for the 12th consecutive year.

Awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the designation recognizes marinas throughout the state that participate in a voluntary program that requires them to adhere to guidelines and best management practices that support environmental stewardship. Marinas that receive the designation have implemented a set of environmental measures designed to protect Florida’s waterways.

“ ... This truly reflects our commitment to quality and excellence through the judicial business practices we have put in place for more than a decade now,” said Dennis Matthews, director of marina operations for Longboat Key Club Moorings in a news release. “We take stewardship of our island resources very seriously, and maintaining the integrity of our unique wildlife areas and keeping our waterways beautiful and healthy is of the utmost importance.”

+ Past Advanced Diver magazine editor joins Cannons Marina
Former Advanced Diver magazine editor Andrew White recently joined the staff of Cannons Marina as a sales specialist. White is responsible for helping customers buy or sell new and used boats and motors.

Growing up in Bradenton, White spent summers and weekends at his family’s home on Holmes Beach and learned to boat and fish from his father. He holds nine diving certifications and was recently asked to test boats for BoatTest.com.

As editor of Advanced Diver magazine, White went on many diving expeditions and helped map shipwrecks. He also worked previously as Wellcraft’s corporate brand manager for the Fishing League Worldwide kingfish and striper tournaments, traveling with the tours and emceeing tournaments throughout the eastern U.S. Most recently, White was self-employed as an independent contractor in the boating industry.

+ St. Armands wins TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence
St. Armands Circle recently received its second TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award. Certificate of Excellence winners are determined by traveler reviews and ratings.

The Circle received average ratings of four-and-a-half stars out of five potential stars.
