Kenneth Bean, 92, of Longboat Key and South Orange, N.J., died Aug. 4.
Mr. Bean was a 1943 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received an MBA in 1947 from the Wharton School. He served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant aboard the Destroyer Escort USS Hold in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters during World War II.
Mr. Bean was co-founder of Tollner & Bean Inc., a dealer in municipal bonds, and served as its president for many years. He was also a published poet.
Mr. Bean is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anne; sons Thomas and Douglas; brother, Donald; sister, Gloria; and three grandchildren. Services have been held.
