Growing up, I was always the girl that preferred flowers in her hair to diamonds around her neck, so its pretty safe to say that I’ve been absolutely enchanted by the trends in hair and makeup this season, from braids adorned with baby's breath and daises to soft pinks eyes and bright orange lips. But I admit it's really the runway and personalized street style that has me absolutely head-over-heels.

Inspired by the happy days of peace and free love, this whimsical bohemian cowboy trend is an obvious throwback to the glory days of Goddess Divine Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin. Although recreating this look is pretty simple, I will say it takes a certain devil-may-care attitude to pull it off with confidence.

Tying in that iconic style has proven poplar this year, and it has even emerged on the runways from such visionaries as Saint Laurent with the nouveau grunge look to Jenny Packham, who used the 1960s to influence her feminine and romantic spring collection.

Hopping on this cool train is as easy as layering the leather and lace and adding some fringe-y embellishments and turquoise jewelry, so dust off the "Rumors" album, open mom's closet and get inspired. Can ya dig it?
