Thieves Wednesday stole spools of copper wire that was planned to be used to replace wire that had been stolen earlier in the week from the same Lakewood Ranch work site.

The unknown suspect(s) had pulled 1,920 feet of copper wire out of the ground Sunday, Dec. 1.

Wednesday, the suspect(s) stole the copper from the back of a work truck parked at the same location. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office police report, filed today, lists the victim in the cases as the Lakewood Ranch Inter-District Authority.
