FIVE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT: Joe Bondi

1. At one point, there were buoys (that looked like hotdogs) disrupting Bondi’s perfect Longboat Key sunset. The coast guard had put them in to protect swimmers from Jet Ski's being rented at an area hotel. Bondi hadn’t seen a jet ski pass by in 20 years so he called city hall and got his sunset view back within four weeks.

2. When Bondi visits Longboat Key he brings four to five books. He finishes all of them in a week.

3. Bondi traveled to Singapore, Bejing, Hong Kong and Bali while consulting in the Far East. “It’s prettier here,” he says.

4. Bondi thinks Euphemia Haye is one of the world’s greatest restaurants.

5. Bondi is good friends with one of his favorite writers, Terrell Griffin, and enjoys having breakfast with him at Blue Dolphin Café.
