+ Daiquiri Deck celebrates first birthday
On Feb. 18, Daiquiri Deck, 325 John Ringling Blvd., celebrated its one-year anniversary at its St. Armands Circle location. In other Daiquiri Deck news, the restaurant is now open for breakfast and will be serving from 7 to 11 a.m. daily. The menu features items such as lobster Benedict, raspberry-stuffed French toast and vegetarian-friendly items. On Sundays, there will be a Bloody Mary bar included with breakfast. They are also featuring breakfast coffee cocktails, mimosas and bellinis.

+ Sterling Anvil on Anna Maria to close
The Sterling Anvil on Anna Maria Island is closing after 40 years of business. The store has been open since 1971, but is closing its doors May 1. Customers must use their gift certificates by May 1.

+ (Chef) hats off to Joe Santangini
Chef Joe Santangini at Bird Key Yacht Club has recently been inducted into the Resort Food Executive Committee. This group is made up of resort executive chefs who maintain the highest culinary standards. This accomplishment marks Bird Key Yacht Club as the first private club in America to be part of the organization. Santangini has been preparing food for the past 25 years for U.S. presidents and politicians, world leaders, celebrities, resort guests and Bird Key Yacht Club members.
