Baldwin wins Greater Tampa Junior Golf Tournament

Lakewood Ranch High junior golfer Connor Baldwin sank a 25-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a sudden death playoff to win the boys 16-18 Greater Tampa Junior Golf event Feb. 13 at Pebble Creek Golf & Country Club in Tampa.

Baldwin shot a 4-over par 75; tying Wiregrass High’s Dylan Larson and edging past reigning Boys Florida State Golf Association junior champion Jimmy Stanger of Gaither High, who shot a 76.

In addition to capturing the title, Baldwin also earned an exemption to play in the Florida Junior Tour event May 14-15 at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club.
