The U.S. Southeastern Regional Martial Arts team, which consists of members from all over the state, met Saturday, May 12, at Sarasota High School to train for the upcoming World Martial Arts Games. In preparation for the competition, students practiced circuit workouts, sparring and various katas, which consist of choreographed martial arts techniques. The team is currently arranging fundraisers to pay for the World Games in Geneva, Switzerland this August.
