Yellow Strawberry to hold Haiti benefit

Hairstylists at Yellow Strawberry hair salon are donating their time starting at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at 2345 Bee Ridge Road, for free haircuts in exchange for a donation to the Restoration Haiti charity fund.

Cat's meow

These girls were a hit all right. With teased manes and faux-fur body-suits, Caitlyn Colleran, Nicole Viccora and Erin Colleran waved drivers into The Cat Depot Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 for its grand opening. A total of 17 cats were adopted over the weekend with 1,000 people attending. Visitors went home with either raffle prizes, free cat toys or a new furry friend.
