Sarasota Military Academy students could be heard playing the bagpipes and trumpets as the Alpha Company of the Vietnam Brotherhood Honor Guard got into formation and families gathered around the Unconditional Surrender statue Saturday, Aug. 14.
“Keep the Spirit of ’45 Alive” is a national campaign marking the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II and honoring America’s military veterans.
