The St. Armands Circle Association got fancy with the group's annual meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Sarasota on May 15. Attendees got down to more than just business by enjoying a sunny happy hour on the hotel's lawn before the meeting. Executive Director Diana Corrigan summarized the past year's accomplishments on the circle: median landscape and improvement, additional parking spaces, the most successful Fright Night and new Buskers on St. Armands events, to name a few.

The event focuses on improving residents' social, spiritual, intellectual and physical skills with activities such as volleyball, mutual interviews and Wii games. As part of the event, residents and staff teamed up to compete in a sports trivia competition.

PHOTO GALLERY: Youth Rock Paper Scissors Tournament

Members of the Pine View Key Club, Sarasota Middle School students and the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club celebrated the end of the year with a barbecue and rock, paper scissors tournament. Participants went head to head through several rounds of play until a champion was crowned. Gift cards were awarded to the final competitors. This year's champion was Catherine Anderson.
