Key Real Estate: Country Club Shores home sells for $1.8 million

The total number of sales for the week, which included 12 on Longboat Key, one on St. Armands Key and one on Bird Key, represented a slight increase from the prior week, during which 10 sales were recorded. Three sales exceeded the $1 million mark this week.

Turtle Watch: Hatchling season starts early this year

As of July 3, with 136 nests laid on Longboat Key, we're beginning to catch up a bit on last year's larger numbers (148 nests for the same time last year). The sea-turtle hatchling season has officially begun a little sooner than expected due to the heat and relatively dry weather.
