The Sarasota Women's Republican Club met for their monthly lunch Thursday, Jan. 4 at Michael's on East to listen to Senator Nancy Detert speak. Seventy ladies attended the lunch where they heard about women in politics. 'It's educational and you get a chance to see everyone and mingle,' said Corresponding Secretary Carlene Mallires. The club brings in different speakers every month from politicians to people in the community.
