Unhatched sea turtle eggs lay on the beach after Cyndi Seamon, a longtime Longboat Key Turtle Watch volunteer, excavated a nest Wednesday, July 9. Fellow volunteer Lindsey Conrad then separates the eggs to see how many hatched and possibly made it to the water. The Longboat Key Turtle Watch patrols the beaches at sunrise each morning.
