Lakewood Ranch Booksellers closes doors

Heidi Allwood said the store wasn't getting enough business. However, Little Bookworms, its sister store, remains open and is doing well. Katy Rose Oilery will open in the space this year.

Girls Scouts complete Silver Award project

Troop 722 Girl Scouts Natalie Reid and Paige Parker, both 14, constructed a Smokey the Bear display at Camp Honi Hanta as their Silver Award project. The girls presented the project to a group of Just for Girls campers July 23.
