Multiple downtown businesses have communicated with the city regarding challenges brought by recent changes to the city’s parking enforcement program. In response, an open house on the matter is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 at City Hall, 1565 First St. in Sarasota.

The public is invited to discuss the recent changes in enforcement hours and future plans for downtown and St. Armands on-street parking. Attendees will hear a presentation from staff and participate in a question-and-answer session with written questions accepted during the meeting.

This dialogue will provide input ahead of the City Commission’s parking workshop tentatively scheduled for Aug. 31.
