Bird Key pays tribute to Motown

The West Coast Black Theatre Troupe performed for club members on May 20.

The packed bar of Bird Key Yacht Club and records atop each table in the dining room could only mean one thing.

Members were gathering for a party.

On May 20, about 160 members gathered for an evening celebrating Motown. Following a cocktail, music-enthusiasts enjoyed dinner and a performance by the West Coast Black Theatre Troupe.
