Longboat Island Chapel hosts summer barbecue

Congregation members gathered July 20 in the fellowship hall.

Despite the humidity outside, Longboat Island Chapel congregants are staying cool.

The congregation hosted a “very cool picnic” July 20 in the Shook Fellowship Hall.

About 50 members gathered for a social hour before enjoying dinner from Sonny’s BBQ. The barbecue dinner replaces the chapel’s traditional Thanksgiving dinner in July.
