Sarasota deputies investigate shooting death in Vamo

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in the residential area off of South Tamiami Trail.

Sarasota County deputies are investigating the shooting death of an unnamed man in the Vamo neighborhood this morning.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a shooting on the 1800 block of Rita Street, which is west of South Tamiami Trail, at 2:25 p.m., according to a news release. Investigators have accounted for all involved parties.
