Longboat Key Democrats kick off 2016

The Longboat Key Democratic Club began the 2016 political season with its monthly meeting and luncheon Jan. 12.

More than 65 attendees listened to Rob Lorei, managing editor of “Florida This Week” on the local PBS station and co-founder of WMNF Radio in Tampa, speak.

Manatee County School Board candidate Edward Viltz and Edward James III, who is running for the Florida House of Representatives District 72, also spoke.
