Thunder slugs way to district win

The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team played host to Imagine High Feb. 29.

The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 9-1 victory versus Imagine School of North Port 9-1 Feb. 29. 

Alex Denler earned the win on the mound for the Thunder, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out three in five innings of work. 

Parke Phillips went 2-for-3 to lead the way for ODA at the plate. Hayden Kennelly and Austin Brinling both went 1-for-1. 

With the win, ODA improves to 7-1 and 6-1 in the district. The Thunder returns to action at 7 p.m. March 1 versus St. Stephen's.
