The Blu Que Island will reopen as Aaron's Fish Camp on Oct. 23 with a 32-item menu comprising seafood that is at once more approachable and has a modern flavor profile.

The new fare, according to Corporate Chef Joe DiMaggio, is more like what diners might find at a Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard establishment.

Regional oysters, shrimp-and-grit cakes and a “gamut of fresh and saltwater seafood” will be served.

DiMaggio said he’s been preparing the new menu for three weeks. Decor and seating, he said, won’t change.

“We’re giving the place a spit-shine,” he said.

The new menu and name will debut Friday, according to owner Matthew Dively, who purchased the establishment nine years ago.

“It’s time to do something different,” Dively said.
