The Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association held the Bill Rogers Memorial Championship July 23 and July 24, at The Oaks Club, in Sarasota.

The championship was part of the organization’s Elite Junior Tour. Due to inclement weather, play was reduced to 18 holes for all of the divisions with the exception of the Girls 16-18 division, which played 27 holes.

The annual EJT event was renamed the Bill Rogers Memorial Championship this year in honor of Bill Rogers, who was a 25-year member of The Oaks Club. Rogers was an avid golfer and taught his grandson, Benjamin, to play at an early age.

Individual results from this year’s tournament include:

Girls 16-18 (27 holes)

Gabrielle Tomeo (112)

Boys 13-15

Jake Nash (83)

Boys 16-18

Erik Souchak (76)

Girls 13-15

Sophia Warren (81)
