Gene Witt Elementary's Mother-Son Fun Night, held April 10, at Ellenton Ice Sports Complex, gave mothers and children chances to teach each other fun lessons.

Whether they knew they would, the boys enjoyed a Friday night out with their mothers.

Kindergarten through fifth-grade boys introduced their mothers to the world of arcade games, while mothers held their sons' hands and led them around an ice skating rink. Boys excitedly zipped around the arcade and challenged their mothers to games of ping-pong, air hockey and other competitive activities.

Proceeds from the admission price, which included skating, arcade games, refreshments and more, benefited the school's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
