• Only Fifty — takes place at 7 p.m. at the Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center. $10. The exhibit, which runs through Nov. 10, commemorates the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act and will feature a collection of work by 50 local and international artists, who have offered works answering the question, “What does freedom mean to you?”
• Good Graeff and Lions After Dark — takes place at 9 p.m. at Growler's Pub. Free. Catch indie-folk-pop band Good Graeff at their first Growler's show in months with Clearwater-based indie-rock band, Lions After Dark.

Saturday, Sept. 13

• Heatstroke Hot Rod Hoedown — takes place at noon at  GT Graphics Master Collision and Paint, 721 7th. Ave. W. Bradenton. Free.  Enjoy more than 10 bands, including Sarasota's own Hail Dale, hot rods, bikes, cold beer, food and the Bradentucky Bombers Rolller Derby Girls. 
• Black Diamond Burlesque Fourth Anniversary Celebration — takes place at 7 p.m. at Louie's Modern. $80. Enjoy cocktails, a naked-sushi-bar dinner and a full burlesque / vaudeville variety show in celebration of Black Diamond Burlesque's fourth anniversary.
• The Panda Paradox with Polar Summer and Shore Dogs — takes place at 8 p.m. at the Coliseum of Bradenton. $5. 21+
