John Helm Lockwood, 99, of Longboat Key and formerly of Short Hills, N.J., died Nov. 15.
Born June 23, 1915, Mr. Lockwood graduated from Colgate University in 1938. He served in the U.S. Army Corps and retired from New Jersey Bell Telephone after working there for 30 years.
Mr. Lockwood is survived by sons John and George; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be no local services.
