Jan. 4
SWEEP THE LEG
1 p.m. — 5200 block of Ocean Boulevard.
Vehicle Crash. A man told deputies a vehicle struck a woman’s legs and fled a parking lot. The driver of the vehicle told deputies the woman was trying to block her exit, pounding on her window and yelling.

JAN. 4
DRINKING THEN DECLINED
11:15 p.m. — 5200 block of Ocean Boulevard. Defrauding an Innkeeper. A man fled a bar after a manager informed him that his credit card was declined. The man told deputies he could not pay his $100.05 bar tab, and officers arrested him.

Jan. 5
ABRA CAB-DABRA
1:56 a.m. — 5100 Ocean Boulevard.
Disturbance. Deputies called a cab for an intoxicated, belligerent man confronting patrons at a bar. The man became calm and composed.

Jan. 6
BATTER UP
12:52 a.m. — 5100 block of Higel Avenue.
Criminal Mischief. Deputies responded to a call about someone damaging mailboxes. Officers placed victim cards in eight mailboxes that were damaged.

SLEEPING ALONE
11:33 a.m. — 6100 Midnight Pass Road. Residential Burglary. A man returned to his winter home and could not find his pistol. He had hidden the gun in a Crown Royal bag before he last left the area. The man slept with the pistol near his bed for 20 years.

FRIENDLY FOLLY
6:22 p.m. — 900 block of Beach Road. Lost and Found Property. A man called deputies to report the location provided by his missing iPhone’s GPS. Officers recovered the phone, which the man’s friend accidentally took from the beach.

Jan. 7
NO PARKING
1:02 p.m. — 5000 block of Calle Minorga.
Criminal Mischief. A man parked in front of an unknown residence reported that his tires were punctured. He suspected the homeowner was involved.

Jan. 8
PICKY PILFERER
5:19 p.m. — 400 block of Beach Road.
Burglary of a Vehicle. A couple told deputies someone had smashed the driver’s side window of their vehicle. Deputies found the woman’s iPad, wallet and purse in the vehicle, but could not find the man’s wallet.
