Palmetto man sought in connection with gunfire at youth football event

Sarasota Police have a warrant for the arrest of a Palmetto man in connection with an July 18 incident at Booker High in which shots were fired.

Dameon Jashuan Brydson, 27, is wanted charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm on school property.

Police were called to the campus during a youth football event on a report of shots fired. No one was hurt, police said, and the event was not school-related.

Sarasota Police said Brydson  is on probation connected to a conviction for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
